Research interests
Micro/Nano tribology. The research interest includes using AFM (Atomic Force Microscopy) to obtain the tribology characteristics of materials. Three main fields are focused on: A) the adhesion force of material surface. B) the friction force between AFM tip and material surface. C) the micro/nano wear of material surface.
The adhesion force between SiO2AFM tip and silicon sample in different humidity conditions.
The friction force between SiO2AFM tip and silicon sample in different humidity conditions.
AFM images of wear scars on silicon surface in different humidity conditions.
Soft machines. The research interest refers to design and improve the soft robots/machines. Three main fields are focused on: A) new methods to design the structure for the soft robots/machines. A) new methods to design the motion for the soft robots/machines. C) develop new materials used in soft robots/machines.
