1. The mechanisms of adhesion and the methods of overcoming/reducing adhesion in the micro/nano- electromechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS) Adhesion is a peculiar phenomenon in micro/nano-machines. When the strength of the component's material meets the demand, the adhesion and friction in the micro/nano–machines are the main cause of their failure. As shown in the figure, micro-polysilicon cantilever adheres to the substrate. The interesting researches areto find out the mechanisms of adhesion and various adhesive models used in adhesive contact. The micro/nano-machines' design principles of various anti-adhesion are researched by release dry processes, and by reducing real contact area or surface energy, and so on. 2. The analysis of stress and strain in metal-sheets pressworked If the shape and size of metal-sheet blank, or producing processes are not appropriate, the pressed workpiece probably appears wrinkle or breakage. For example, in the followingfigures,the flange of thedrawn cup wrinkles in the leftfigure,the distribution of thicknessdirection strain in the rectangular box drawn is shown in the right figure, may see that the box thickness in blue color thins up tp 29.38%,implyto break there easily.
The following figures show the calculated results of two automobile panels, the left and right figures respectively show the distributions of the equivalent strain and stress, the vertical color-bars present the magnitude of two types of parameters in figures. The interesting researches are to find out the optimal shape and size of metal-sheet blanks, and optimize pressworking processes by using the analysis of the finite element method, in order to obtain pressed parts without defect. |
