Research interests

1. Design and applications of photonic crystal structure for LED and solar cell.The research interest includes using the photonic crystal technology to obtain High light extraction efficiency LED and low reflectivity properties of silicon based solar cell.

2. Design and applications of photonic crystal structure for optical communication components.The research interest includes the design of photonic crystal and optical waveguide devices for optical communication components. The devices mainly include optical isolator, splitter, all-optical diode and dispersion separator, etc.

3. Laser diagnostic technique for the measurement of particle.The research interest includes analyzing the effect of particle diameters, index of refraction and incident wavelength on the light scattered light intensity based on classical Mie's theory and designing scattered light collecting system of the OPC(Optical Particles' Counter).
