Recently, in accordance with the document "Announcement of National Standards of the People's Republic of China (No. 6 of 2025)", the national standard "Pneumatic - Directional Control Valves - Measurement of Switching Time" (GB/T 22107-2025), formulated and revised under the leadership of Professor Qian Pengfei's team from Jiangsu University, was officially released and implemented. This standard is an important technical specification in China's hydraulic and pneumatic field, and also the first national standard led by Jiangsu University in this field. It marks that the university has made important progress in the standardization construction of hydraulic and pneumatic technology, providing crucial technical support for the high-quality development of the industry.

This standard specifies the test methods for the switching time of electrically controlled and pneumatically controlled directional control valves, covering core contents such as scope of application, normative reference documents, term definitions, test equipment, test accuracy, test procedures, data calculation, and test data reports. It is applicable to single-stable and double-stable pneumatic directional control valves with 2 or 3 working positions. The release and implementation of this standard provide a unified technical specification for the measurement of the switching time of pneumatic directional control valves, which is conducive for enterprises to optimize production processes, improve product quality control levels, and promote the development of China's pneumatic component manufacturing towards high-end and intelligent directions.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Hydraulics and Pneumatics. Led by Jiangsu University, it was jointly completed by 16 enterprises and universities including Shenzhen Kentop Fluid Technology Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Xingchen Pneumatic Co., Ltd., and Tianjin University. In April and October 2024, Professor Qian Pengfei, as the project leader, successively presided over the working group meeting and expert review meeting for the standard draft, extensively absorbing constructive opinions from all sectors of industry, academia and research, so as to ensure the scientificity, advancement and practicability of the standard.
Since being awarded the "National Standard Development Unit of the 8th National Technical Committee for Standardization of Hydraulics and Pneumatics" in December 2023, Jiangsu University has continuously deepened the standardization research in the hydraulic and pneumatic field. In December 2024, Professor Qian Pengfei won the title of "2024 National Excellent Worker in Hydraulic and Pneumatic Standardization" due to his outstanding performance in standardization work. In the future, the university will further deepen industry-academia-research cooperation, accelerate the standardization transformation of innovative achievements, and at the same time strengthen the cultivation of standardization talents, so as to provide solid technical and talent support for the high-quality development of China's manufacturing industry.
