On October 12th, the School of Mechanical Engineering held a seminar on the safety of scientific research laboratories in the lecture hall on the 7th floor. Ma Chao, Director of the Office of Micronano Research Institute, served as the keynote speaker. The 2020 undergraduates and graduate students of the college attended the lecture.

In the lecture, Ma Chao introduced the school’s college-related laboratory safety management regulations to the freshmen in terms of the college’s scientific research laboratory overview, safety management regulations, hazardous chemical recycling regulations, common laboratory safety hazards and corresponding preventive measures. It also listed the safety accidents that occurred in college laboratories in recent years, and emphasized the importance of complying with laboratory safety to the freshmen. There was an active exchange of teachers and students and a harmonious atmosphere.
This laboratory safety lecture not only strengthened the students’ awareness of laboratory safety management in our college, but also allowed freshmen to better understand the importance of laboratory safety, reduced potential safety hazards, and created a safe and stable learning and living environment for teachers and students in our college .
