On April 4th, the School of Mechanical Engineering held an online new thought open class "Remember the Martyrs, Salute Heroes". The event invited Jin Shude, honorary director of the school close working committee and Tang Jingxia, deputy director of the school close working committee, as guest speakers, and Shao Zhongyi of Jiangsu University volunteered for service Members of the team and the Youth Learning Club of the School of Mechanical Engineering listened to the lecture.
Before the meeting started, all the participants browsed the China Heroes Net with high respect and wrote affectionate messages. After the event officially started, four students from different places introduced the touching deeds of heroes and martyrs in their hometowns and the memorial hall of heroes and martyrs with great commemorative value as representatives. Through the narrator's affectionate narrative, everyone understood the great sacrifices made by the martyrs for the victory of the revolution, and they were all moved. Afterwards, the students at the meeting shared in-depth discussions, which inspired a strong sense of home and country in their hearts. Tang Jingxia shared the heroic deeds of Martyr Wang Long and the situation of the patriotic education base of Jiangsu University. She hoped that the students would learn and pass on the spirit of martyrs, study diligently, and move forward. Jin Shude shared his thoughts on the endurance and heroic spirit of the Chinese nation from generation to generation, and expressed his messages and expectations to the new generation of college students. He hoped that everyone would cultivate ideals and beliefs and be loyal to their duties and missions.
After the event, the team members actively responded to the host's call, starting with "I want and I hope", expressing their expectations for the stability and prosperity of the motherland, realizing the sense of responsibility and mission of contemporary college students.
