Recently, a total of 10 volunteers from the school of mechanical engineering of Jiangsu University assisted the high-quality practice team in Jiangsu Province with the help of "United agriculture to assist agriculture" carried out a 10-day social practice around the construction of new rural areas in Nantong City, Yancheng City and Huai'an City, respectively, to investigate the development of modern agriculture in Northern Jiangsu under the background of Rural Revitalization Strategy.

Yancheng practice team investigated the current mainstream unmanned spraying models in our country, and at the same time drove the UAV to spray herbicides over the farmland to publicize the technical advantages of UAV spraying to local farmers. Nantong practice team selected Yangzhuang village of Rugao City for investigation, interviewed cadres and ordinary villagers of the village, popularized agricultural modernization policy and questionnaire investigation on rural development issues, and provided advantages of science popularization series of intelligent agricultural clothing to rural cadres and farmers. The practice team of Huaian went to the vehicle bridge town to carry out research, mainly aiming at the local agricultural equipment level, agricultural machinery service system and highly skilled professional talents. With the "Internet +" as the starting point, aiming at the local agricultural production status, the villagers carried out propaganda and education services to the modern agriculture related policy channels, and comprehensively promoted the local villagers' upsurge in science and technology agriculture.

Under the trend of vigorously promoting the development of agricultural mechanization, young volunteers have made in-depth investigation on the development of modern agriculture in rural areas of Northern Jiangsu, so that contemporary college students can better understand the development of agricultural modernization, consolidate and improve their professional knowledge while using their professional knowledge to serve the rural areas, and contribute their youth to the prosperity of farmers in Northern Jiangsu and the construction of new rural areas.
