On October 5, the volunteers of Qingzhi Association of Mechanical College joined hands with overseas students to carry out "Chongyang on the tip of the tongue" activity in taigushan community, Runzhou District, Zhenjiang city.

The activities are mainly divided into two parts: making Chongyang cake and eating Chongyang feast together. First of all, the staff of the community demonstrated how to make Chongyang cake for the overseas students. Next, according to the steps of the master, we have successively carried out a series of operations, such as screening, loading, smoothing, coloring, demoulding and cooking, to truly feel the production process of Chongyang cake, a traditional pastry. At last, Chinese and foreign students make Chongyang banquet. They sit around the dining table, drink chrysanthemum tea, taste Chongyang cake, eat Chongyang delicacies and feel Chongyang culture.

This activity allows Chinese and foreign students to experience the traditional technology and culture of the Double Ninth Festival, while carrying forward the virtue of respecting the elderly in China, and providing warmth and care for the empty nest elderly in the community.
