Recently, Jiangsu University's “Empowering New Quality Power, Helping Rural Revitalization” practice team went to the rural area of Chahayang, Gannan County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province to carry out summer social practice activities, team members went to the China Green Food Development Center in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, the village committee of the rural area of the village of Chahayang, Gannan County, the Museum of History, etc. to carry out practice and research. Research, the practice group in-depth grassroots, through interviews with local farmers, field practice research, in-depth understanding of the development status of the local green food industry, the challenges faced and future trends, for rural revitalization to contribute to the new quality of power to promote the green transformation and sustainable development of agriculture. This activity aims to understand the mission and responsibility of serving the country through agriculture and forestry, and to enhance the sense of responsibility and mission to serve rural revitalization. At the same time, the activity will also provide strong talent support and intellectual guarantee for promoting agricultural modernization and helping rural revitalization.
In the afternoon of July 10, the team members came to China Green Food Development Center in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, and Chahayang Agricultural Factory in Gannan County, Qiqihar City. After counting the number of people, the team leader introduced the content and process of this activity. The team then went to the farm melon field to experience the farming life and remove weeds for the melon field, which made the practice members deeply appreciate the hardship and happiness of labor and cherish the hard-won food more. The team members interviewed several experienced farmers and listened to them talk about their farming experience and planting skills that have been passed down from generation to generation, which demonstrated the charm and wisdom of traditional agriculture. The team members also explained to the local farmers about the convenience of agricultural production brought by technological advances such as intelligent farm machinery and drone spraying technology, and they deeply realized the mission and responsibility of mechanical students.
Subsequently, the students strolled along the rice paddies, entered the countryside rice paddies, observed the growth of rice up close, gained a deeper understanding of the local agricultural development process, and examined the excellent quality of rice of Beidahuang Group. The research made the team members realize the importance of Heilongjiang black land as the granary of China. The team went to the village committee of Chahayang Rural Village to listen to the old party members talk about the great history of reclaiming the black land and the important contribution of the Chahayang Rural Production Union.
On the last day of the activity, the team members went to the History Museum. Inside the museum, through the comparison of old artifacts, the team members learned more about the progress of agriculture in Northeast China. The visit not only gave the students a deeper understanding of the history and culture of Heilongjiang and even the whole Northeast region, but also inspired their pride in their hometown culture and the sense of responsibility to inherit the excellent traditional culture.
This summer social practice activity is not only a vivid social practice classroom, but also a profound ideological education and value shaping process. It allows young scholars to go deep into the grassroots, understand the national conditions and serve the society, while also growing up in practice and feeling in experience. The team members believe that in the coming days they will continue to forget the original heart, keep the mission in mind, and contribute more wisdom and strength to the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
