To further assist students preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination with scientific guidance and planning, and to clarify their examination goals, the School of Mechanical Engineering held a guidance session on July 4th in the seventh-floor auditorium for the 2021 grade students. The session was led by the deputy dean, Ye Yunxia, with counselors Ji Guangrui and Huang Guoqing presiding over the meeting, and 2021 grade students in attendance.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ye Yunxia reviewed the overview of our university and the history of the school, allowing students to personally experience the deep cultural heritage of the institution and appreciate the vigorous development and legacy of the college. She provided a detailed explanation on the relationship and differences between disciplines and majors from the perspective of postgraduate entrance examination applicants. Combining the current disciplines and research platforms available in the college, as well as the mature experimental conditions and faculty, she introduced the six characteristic research directions and achievements in discipline construction, guiding students to scientifically and reasonably choose advantageous disciplines for their postgraduate entrance examinations, helping them gain a clearer understanding of their examination direction. Additionally, she emphasized that during the preparation process, students should establish correct goals, formulate scientific plans, leverage the support of faculty members, actively seek advice from professional teachers, and continuously enhance their professional competence to improve their chances of success in the postgraduate entrance examination.

This postgraduate entrance examination guidance session helped students further strengthen their confidence, clarify their preparation strategies, and define their application direction, thereby boosting their confidence in taking the exam. It is believed that with the support and assistance of the college, students will surely achieve excellent results and realize their dreams.
