In order to guide college students to actively participate in innovation and entrepreneurship activities, cultivate students' innovation and practice ability, and explore their innovation potential, the School of Mechanical Engineering successfully held the preliminary round of "Innovation 101- Technology Workshop" creative product production activity on December 1st. With the theme of "Green Power, Zero Carbon Future", this activity aims to stimulate the interest and enthusiasm of teachers and students in science and technology innovation, enhance the awareness of environmental protection, and cultivate green science and technology innovation talents. The event invited Li Tianbao, engineering manager, Feng Jun, senior technical expert, and Sun Yunjie, engineer of Wuxi Cummins Turbocharging Technology Co., Ltd, Han Qi of the Youth League Committee of Jiangsu University, Li Pengfei and Liang Yuchen of the School of Mechanical Engineering, and Wang Yifang of the Basic Engineering Training Center to be the judges, and was hosted by Liu Yangyang, a master's degree student of the class of 2023.

After the activity of the pre-publicity and mobilization, many students responded positively, and after the preliminary selection of the college, a total of 11 teams were shortlisted for the preliminary round, and went on the stage to show the design concept and production method of their works. After the selection by experts, two teams stood out and represented the school to participate in Cummins "Innovation 101- Science and Technology Workshop" Creative Product Production Finals.

This event is an important initiative for the college to promote innovation and entrepreneurship education and school-enterprise cooperation, and an important way to cultivate students with strong skills, courage to innovate, high efficiency and practice. Through the competition, the contestants exchange academics, collaborate and help each other, expand their horizons, display themselves, cultivate the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, and create a strong academic atmosphere with scientific and technological works and innovative achievements. The college will take this activity as an opportunity to carry out multi-party cooperation with enterprises in the future in many fields, such as internship practice, job hunting and employment, technology research, etc., sharing resources, exchanging experience, cracking problems, realizing the integration and promotion of theoretical knowledge and enterprise practice, and realizing the synergistic innovation of schools and enterprises and cooperation in educating people.
