On October 11th, the School of Mechanical Engineering Student Media Center and the Graduate Student Union jointly organized a New Media Skills Training Seminar in Room 206 of Sanjiang Building. Hong Yajie, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School, Zhu Jiang, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, Zhu Chong, a member of the Chairman's team of the Graduate Student Union, and more than 100 people, including officials from various departments of the Youth League Committee and the Research Student Union of the School of Mechanical Engineering, attended the meeting. Wen Jinjin, head of the Propaganda and Liaison Department of the Graduate Student Union, presided over the meeting.

The meeting began with Hong Yajie stating that the purpose of this training session is to effectively enhance the professional competence and business skills of officials from various departments of the School of Mechanical Engineering's Youth League and the Graduate Student Union in the field of new media. The goal is to help everyone better understand the work of publicity and be able to fully utilize the role of media platforms in the era of the Internet, thereby assisting in the smooth and effective implementation of the school's work and activities in the new semester.

Zhu Jiang unfolded the requirements and techniques of photo shooting for four types of activities: sports competitions, lectures, speech exchanges, and practical activities. He emphasized the common problems in activity shooting and summarized six shooting requirements, such as clear subjects, bright finished photos, and overall symmetrical composition, using excellent activity photos as examples. He hoped that all officials could take more photos, learn more, and practice more in their activities.

Zhu Chong started from the layout tools and basic image and text editing for making tweets, clearly defining the requirements for the production of the school's public account. He addressed issues such as standardization of text and image formats, from basic punctuation to important original protection. The explanation process was clear, systematic, and patient.

The convening of this meeting clarified the future work content and requirements for publicity for officials from various departments, improved work enthusiasm, and enhanced students' basic media literacy. At the end of the meeting, many officials expressed that they had benefited greatly and learned many practical skills. The entire meeting was full of valuable content, and they would apply what they learned to practical activities.
