Mencius said: "I am old and I am old."  The 9th day of the ninth month of the lunar calendar is not only the traditional Chinese Double Ninth Festival, but also the newly added festival for the elderly in 1989.

 "Respect, respect, love and help the elderly" are traditional virtues.  In order to enhance people’s enthusiasm for traditional culture, inherit Chinese civilization, and compose a Chinese chapter together; at the same time, in order to enhance care for the elderly and create a social atmosphere of respecting, loving and respecting the elderly, our Volunteer Department of the School of Mechanical Engineering decided to organize this  This event brought warmth to the elderly in the community and let them feel love on this special day.  With respect and care for the elderly, the Youth Association of the School of Mechanical Engineering came to Xingyuan Nursing Home to send holiday blessings to the elderly.
