On the afternoon of November 24, 2020, Professor Shi Yan from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics was invited to our school to give an academic report titled "New Progress in the Research of Sputum Suction Technology Simulating Human Natural Cough and Exchange of Application for National Natural Science Foundation of China". The academic report meeting was held in the lecture hall on the seventh floor of the Machinery Building of our school. The report meeting was hosted by Professor Zhang Zhongqiang, the deputy dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering. More than 100 teachers and students from the School of Mechanical Engineering participated in the report. Professor Shi Yan’s report first explained the research significance of sputum suction technology, and proposed a “safe, on-demand, and efficient” intelligent sputum suction technology based on the shortcomings of existing sputum suction technology.
Then, Professor Shi introduced in detail the three key technologies of real-time estimation technology of respiratory mechanics parameters, online identification technology of sputum stasis degree and intelligent control technology of sputum suction airflow. Through experimental research, it is verified that the smart suction technology is much more efficient than the existing suction tube suction technology, and it avoids the risk of infection caused by the existing invasive suction technology to the patient. Finally, the 2021 National Natural Science Foundation of China will provide guidance and suggestions on the application of new cross-faculty and related funds of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. After the report meeting, Professor Shi gave detailed answers to the questions raised by the teachers and students, and conducted in-depth exchanges with them.
Shi Yan, professor of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, doctoral supervisor, director of the key laboratory of compressed air energy saving and energy storage systems in the mechanical industry; has long been engaged in research on precision detection and control technology of pneumatic systems, respiratory support and pulmonary rehabilitation technology based on man-machine compound control, etc. .
