On the afternoon of September 14th, Mr. Wang Hongyu, the head of mechanical design and manufacturing and automation major of the School of Mechanical Engineering, held a professional introduction meeting for nearly 200 freshmen of the mechanical major of 2020 in the lecture hall of Chengjiao Building. Freshman Counselor Yu Weijie and all 2020 mechanical freshmen attended the introduction meeting.

At the introduction meeting, Wang Hongyu introduced to the 2020 freshmen the important role of mechanical design and manufacturing and its automation major in China's manufacturing 2025, national economic development and national strategy. Subsequently, Mr. Wang introduced in detail the disciplinary background, faculty, and the quality of student training of the mechanical major from three aspects: professional overview, training plan, and training quality. At the meeting, Mr. Wang also elaborated on the college’s characteristic "Three-Integrity Education" model, in which all teachers educate people. Finally, Mr. Wang puts forward suggestions to the freshmen of grade 20: During the university, all courses in the training plan should be carefully completed, and the spare time should be used well to strengthen the study of professional knowledge. At the same time, we should pay attention to improving our own comprehensive quality, bow our heads to be down-to-earth, and raise our heads with struggle aims.

Through this professional introduction meeting, even if the freshmen have a better understanding of their major, it also stimulated their confidence and interest in learning the major.
