On September 20, at the invitation of our institute, Professor Xinmin from the school of mechanical and power engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University made an academic report entitled "Research on scale effect and application of micro feature manufacturing of metal components" in the academic report hall on the 7th floor of our institute. The conference was presided over by President Zhou Jianzhong and attended by more than 120 teachers and students.
In the report, Professor Lai Xinmin summed up the key technologies in the micro manufacturing of metal components around the scientific issues of micro feature manufacturing of metal components, then established the scale effect analysis model and limit manufacturing process of micro manufacturing, and applied the research results to the micro forming and manufacturing of metal bipolar plate, the core component of fuel cell vehicle stack, for SAIC and other enterprises The key technology support is provided by the development of Chi automobile. Professor Lai had an interactive exchange with our teachers and students, and made a clear explanation of the questions, which made our teachers and students have a deeper understanding of the scale effect and application prospect of the micro feature manufacturing of metal components.
After the report meeting, Professor Lai Xinmin had an exchange with the research team of modern forming and die technology led by Professor Chen Wei of our institute, and guided the research work on the key technologies of body structure forming and connection based on multiple lightweight materials that the team is carrying out.
