On the afternoon of May 31, the School of Mechanical Engineering successfully hosted the semester (2018-2019-2) school-level teaching open class in the 3402 classroom of Jingjiang Building. This public class was lectured by the teacher Ge Daoyu from the Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering of our institute. Mr. Ge received the first prize of the “National High-level Professional Title Team of the Ninth Teacher Teaching Competition” of Jiangsu University. The public class was taught in a classroom. More than 10 young teachers such as Yan, Xu Fan, Zhu Hao, Xu Jiangping and Yang Lei observed this open class.
The content of the open class is PLC programming of electromechanical transmission control. In the class, Mr. Ge takes the automatic control of traffic lights at the intersections familiar to everyone's life as an example. The image vividly shows the drawing and design of the ladder diagram in PLC control, as well as related error-prone knowledge points and points of attention. Key design steps, timing diagrams, and effects on ladder diagrams。

Mr. Ge’s lectures are humorous and explain the knowledge points with examples. This fully mobilizes the students’ enthusiasm and pays attention to the communication and interaction with the students, which embodies the student-oriented teaching philosophy. After the class, the teachers who participated in the discussion and the teacher Ge discussed the experience, shared their experiences, and exchanged experiences. Through this open class activity, young teachers have benefited a lot, which has promoted the mutual learning and mutual progress among the teachers of the college and achieved the expected results.
