On the morning of May 24th, a group of 18 people consisting of the college leaders, faculty which is guided by the secretary of the party committee of the machanical school Hua Yinqun went to the academy to hold a industry-university-research exchange activity.

 The secretary of the academy Sun Deju took the group to visit the Zhao Yafu deeds pavilion the whole journey. The commentator told the advanced deeds detailedly of the Zhao Yafu boffin introducing and breeding some new varieties and technologys of fresh fruits like strawberries, grapes and so on. And then he made a example in hilly and mountain areas in Jiangsu to generalize them, finally he led the farmers to riches. Secretary Hua Yinqun appealed to others to learn the ‘Ya fu’ spirit and make contributions to the career of scientific researches.

Then people went to the croplands, listening to the gardening experts introducing advanced agronomic cultivation techniques and bottleneck problems when cultivating new breeds during industrialization promotion process.

After visiting and learning, both sides had a symposium in the meeting, the secretary Sun Deju first presented the fundamental situations of the academy and the scientific results which had been achieved recent years. He pointed out that the labor for agricultural production decreased and the cost of agricultural labor increased year by year with the development of industry. With an increasing number of large-scale agricultural enterprises, large-scale planting is badly in need of the decrease of the cost and need higher requirements on the demands of agricultural mechanization and intellectualization. He represented that he hoped that they can strengthen cooperation in industry, education and research and solve a series of questions on agricultural automation.

Later, the secretary Hua Yinqun introduced the professional development course of mechanical school, the direction of scientific study and the achievements, and he hoped that the experts from both sides use their advantages, mutual benefit and win-win results, transform the advantages of cooperation into the advantages of innovation, competition and development and realize the effective connection between agronomy and mechanical automation.
