On the afternoon of September 24, the Schools of Mechanical Engineering and Agricultural Engineering jointly conducted a cross-review of the 2025 Grassroots Party Building "Secretary Projects" in Room B410 of the Mechanical Engineering Building. The event aimed to facilitate the exchange of grassroots Party building experiences and evaluate the implementation outcomes of the "Secretary Projects." Lu Yunsong, Party Building Specialist, attended the meeting for guidance. Pan Hongjun, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Mechanical Engineering, and Liao Zhiling, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Agricultural Engineering, along with two representatives of Party branch secretaries and the directors of the Party Affairs Office from both schools, participated in the meeting. The session was chaired by Pan Hongjun.

At the meeting, Pan Hongjun delivered a systematic report on the project titled "Party Building Ignites the 'Red Engine' to Accelerate Discipline Construction," detailing the project’s progress and phased achievements in strengthening political leadership, consolidating organizational foundations, and deepening integration mechanisms. Liao Zhiling, under the theme "Vertical and Horizontal Linkages Showcase New Momentum, Forging Ahead with the 'Strengthening the Nation Initiative,'" shared the school’s practices and explorations in serving the national strategy of building a strong agricultural country and promoting technological innovation and achievement transformation in the field of agricultural engineering. Two Party branch secretary representatives engaged in on-site exchanges, discussing project progress, key outcomes, existing challenges, and future work plans. Written exchanges were also submitted by 30 other Party branches. Subsequently, the two schools held in-depth discussions on promoting the integration of Party building and professional work, talent cultivation, and discipline development.

In his concluding remarks, Lu Yunsong provided a summary and evaluation of the "Secretary Projects" undertaken by the two schools and their branches. He fully affirmed the remarkable achievements made by the Party committees and grassroots branches of both schools in advancing these projects, noting that each project featured distinct themes, precise positioning, and close alignment with the disciplinary characteristics and development needs of the schools, thereby achieving synergy between Party building and professional work. Additionally, Lu Yunsong offered guidance for the subsequent development of the projects, emphasizing the need to further deepen the integration of Party building with disciplines, scientific research, and teaching, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two schools, learn from each other’s exemplary experiences, and continuously enhance the quality and effectiveness of grassroots Party building efforts to ensure the "Secretary Projects" are fully implemented and yield elevated results.
