On May 26th, 2017, the adjunct professor employed ceremony and academic report of Wu Hongtao from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics was held at the lecture hall in the School of Mechanical Engineering building.
After the employed ceremony, Professor Wu made a report named “Robot Method Innovation and Structural Innovation”which introduced the latest achievements of his research group. Through the Q&A, teachers and students know more knowledge about this field and were inspired by the lecture.
Wu Hongtao, the member of Communist Party of China, Doctor, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Senior Member of China Mechanical Engineering Society, Member of the China Aviation Society, member of China Astronautics Society. Professor Wu graduated from the Northeast Heavy Machinery Institute of machinery manufacturing major and got the bachelor of engineering in 1982. In 1985, he got the master of mechanical manufacturing, Tianjin University. In July, 1992, got mechanical engineering discipline doctorate. In 2000, he did the cooperating research in Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In 2001-2003, he went to Arizon State University and did the cooperating research. In 2007-2008 year, went to Hong Kong Polytechnic University doing the cooperating research again.
Professor Wu presided over and participated in the National Science and Technology Commission and the Aerospace Industry Corporation, "Eleventh Five-Year" major pre-research projects, the national high-tech field 863 intelligent robot theme project, the National Natural Science Foundation, Aviation Natural Science Foundation, China Postdoctoral Science Fund and State Education Commission doctoral fund and so on more than 20 research topics. He won eight of the provincial and ministerial level achievements, the China Aviation Industry Corporation Science and Technology Progress Second Award, the national high-tech field eighty-six intelligent robot body theme office first prize, Jiangsu Province, the Office of the National Defense Industry Science and Technology Progress and other prizes, Jiangsu Province, scientific and technological progress third prize, four prizes, the State Education Commission scientific and technological progress third prize, a school science and technology progress second prize.
