On June 15, a 12-member delegation led by Wu Zuojun, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Wang Tao, Dean of the College of Mechanical Engineering at Taiyuan University of Technology, visited our college for investigation and exchange. Zhang Zhongqiang, Dean of our College of Mechanical Engineering, Ye Yunxia, Vice Dean, Zhang Chaoyang, Director of the Department of Intelligent Manufacturing, Qian Pengfei, Director of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and the Dean's Secretary attended the event. Zhang Zhongqiang presided over the activity.

At the exchange meeting, both parties first delivered cordial and friendly speeches and introduced the participating personnel. On behalf of the college, Zhang Zhongqiang extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Taiyuan University of Technology's College of Mechanical Engineering and comprehensively introduced the college's development and discipline construction. He systematically elaborated on the college's disciplinary origin and professional settings from three aspects: historical evolution, current disciplinary development, and future planning. He focused on the remarkable achievements made by the college in the past eight years in building distinctive disciplinary directions, improving the talent training system, advancing platform construction, and producing landmark achievements. He emphasized that the college has always adhered to the development strategy of "Integrating Engineering with Agriculture, Strengthening Agriculture through Engineering", closely focusing on high-end equipment manufacturing, national major needs, and regional economic development. It conducts in-depth basic and applied research, drives disciplinary development through scientific research innovation, and promotes the improvement of talent training quality.

Secretary Wu Zuojun highly praised the development achievements of our college. He pointed out that the two colleges share many similarities in historical inheritance, school-running scale, and facing challenges. Strengthening exchanges and mutual learning will help achieve complementary advantages and common development. Secretary Wu warmly invited Dean Zhang Zhongqiang to lead a delegation to visit and guide Taiyuan University of Technology.

Dean Wang Tao vividly summarized his feelings after listening to the report with "Light in the Eyes, Dream in the Heart" and praised the college's outstanding achievements in talent training, team building, and major scientific research projects. Subsequently, he comprehensively introduced the development status of Taiyuan University of Technology's College of Mechanical Engineering from eight aspects: historical development, organizational structure, disciplinary and professional layout, platform construction, progress of major projects, talent training model, student training situation, and future planning. During the discussion session, both parties conducted in-depth discussions on the training mechanism for young teachers, the training system for undergraduate and graduate students, the Party and administrative management mechanism, and the quality improvement of disciplinary construction, sharing their respective experiences and practices.

After the meeting, accompanied by Lu Jinzhong, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Dean Zhang Zhongqiang, and Vice Dean Ye Yunxia, the visiting experts conducted an on-site inspection of the laboratories related to the Laser Advanced Manufacturing Platform and the Intelligent Flexible Mechatronics Platform. Both parties exchanged views on experimental equipment configuration, progress of scientific research projects, and achievement transformation and application.

This investigation has laid a solid foundation for deepening cooperation between the two colleges and provided new ideas for the reform of mechanical engineering education and the high-quality development of the college's cause in the new era. Both parties stated that they will take this exchange as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation in Party building, talent training, scientific research, social services and other aspects, and jointly promote the construction of mechanical engineering discipline to a new level.
