On April 16, the School of Mechanical Engineering held the 2nd Session of Young Teachers' Academic Salon in the lecture hall of the university library. Teachers Liang Yuchen and Sun Wan were invited to share their work related to "Digital Twin Intelligent Manufacturing and Its Applications" and "Discussion on Scientific Research Inspiration and Engineering Applications from the Perspective of Dynamics" respectively. Professor Ye Yunxia, Professor Fu Yonghong, young teachers, and some postgraduates of the School of Mechanical Engineering attended the activity, which was presided over by Teacher Chen Hao.

Distinguished Professor Liang Yuchen focused on five aspects: fault diagnosis, dynamic scheduling, edge computing, laser cladding, and laser shock. He gave a detailed introduction from the perspectives of mechanism modeling and data-driven methods, and shared his experience and thoughts on how to integrate doctoral research topics with the research direction of the research group after work. Starting from nonlinear dynamics, Professor Sun Wan introduced the wide application of differential equation theory in flow-induced vibration energy harvesting, construction machinery vibration suppression, and multi-physics field coupling control. He elaborated from three aspects: mechanical structure, mathematical model, and engineering application, providing a new perspective for deepening mechanism cognition and breaking through engineering bottlenecks. During the activity, taking the academic achievements of the two professors as a starting point, teachers and students exchanged ideas on scientific research topic selection, research methods, scientific research inspiration, and postgraduate training. As a senior professor of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Teacher Fu Yonghong has always cared about the development of the school and its disciplines. He fully affirmed the importance of the Young Teachers' Academic Salon to a research-oriented school, as well as the research achievements and innovative thinking of the school's young teachers. Based on the current development status of the manufacturing industry, he made wonderful comments on the reports and put forward suggestions. Vice Dean Ye Yunxia put forward suggestions on the teachers' scientific research work and future development direction from the perspectives of the development of the school's advantageous directions and the construction of research teams.

The "Young Teachers' Academic Salon" is one of the three major academic activities of the School of Mechanical Engineering. It aims to focus on topics of interest to teachers, such as disciplinary frontiers, interdisciplinary integration, scientific research cooperation, and career development, and build a communication platform for teachers to spark ideas. It is of great significance for promoting interdisciplinary integration of the school, integrated innovation of scientific research work, and teacher cooperation and communication. The Young Teachers' Academic Salon is sponsored by the Scientific Research Management Department of the School of Mechanical Engineering, and co-organized by the School Trade Union, the Youth Working Committee, and the "Yiyou" Science and Technology Innovation Workstation of the Student Community Party Working Committee of Jiangsu University.
