To further promote the in-depth implementation of Party discipline learning and education, innovate the carriers of grassroots Party building work, and stimulate the vitality of grassroots Party organizations, on July 23, the faculty and staff Party branch of the Optoelectronic Department of the School of Mechanical Engineering went to Zhenjiang Prison to conduct a thematic Party day activity on Party discipline learning and education, and carried out a Party building partnership with the Party branch of the First Prison Area of Zhenjiang Prison. Some non-Party people were also invited to participate in the activity.

At the beginning of the activity, on-site warning education was conducted. All teachers of the Party branch visited the living areas of the inmates, their labor sites, and the key production technology laboratory for optical communication products. Everyone was deeply moved and expressed that they would take this as a warning, strictly discipline themselves in their daily work and life, be upright and clean in their conduct, and absolutely refrain from crossing the high-pressure line of Party discipline and national law.

After the visit, the Party branch conducted a joint Party building study activity with the Party branch of the First Prison Area of Zhenjiang Prison. All Party members studied together the important expositions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on Party discipline construction and excerpts from the "Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Party of China." Subsequently, both sides exchanged views and discussed Party building work and new models of future cooperation, and held a signing ceremony for Party building partnership and joint construction.

This Party building partnership and joint construction is an effective exploration to strengthen the construction of grassroots Party branches on both sides, based on the Party building partnership and joint construction between the Party committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering and the Party committee of Zhenjiang Prison in Jiangsu Province. Both sides will fully leverage the role of the Party branch as a fighting fortress, continue to deepen point-to-point cooperation, optimize the form of Party building activities based on the jointly established key production technology laboratory for optical communication products, strengthen talent cultivation and industry-university-research cooperation, and further promote the deep integration of Party building work and business development on both sides.
