On June 13, 2024, the virtual teaching and research office of the Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Curriculum Group in the Yangtze River Delta held the launch meeting for the Knowledge Innovation Center of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Jiangsu University in Conference Room B414. Attendees included Professor Wang Hongyu, the head of the Mechanical Engineering program at Jiangsu University, core course leaders and key faculty members from the mechanical engineering discipline, as well as business representatives from Zhihushu (Shanghai Outstanding Ruixin Digital Technology Co., Ltd.). Mr. Ling Zhiyong, a teaching supervisor at Jiangsu University, was also present to provide guidance. The meeting was chaired by Professor Xu Zhenying, the Executive Deputy Director of the teaching and research office and Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Jiangsu University.
At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Xu Zhenying introduced the purpose and objectives of the event, emphasizing the importance of knowledge graphs in education. Following this, Consultant Zhou Jun from Zhihushu provided a detailed presentation on the overall construction of the Innovation Knowledge Center, including the construction process, application scenarios, and project development plan. In the subsequent discussion session, attendees engaged in in-depth exchanges regarding the construction plan for the Knowledge Innovation Center. Participants actively discussed details related to the construction of knowledge graphs for the school, academic programs, and courses, as well as future maintenance and optimization strategies. Each attendee contributed their thoughts, collaboratively brainstorming ideas for the construction and development of the Knowledge Innovation Center. As a result of the discussions, a preliminary construction plan and direction were established, laying a solid foundation for the efficient development of the Knowledge Innovation Center and paving the way for a new segment within the virtual teaching and research office of the Yangtze River Delta Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Curriculum Group.
The launch of the Knowledge Innovation Center provides new ideas for the teaching reform and professional development of related courses. Through the construction and application of knowledge graphs, it is expected to further enhance teaching quality and cultivate more outstanding talents with a solid professional foundation, strong innovative awareness, and robust practical capabilities.
