On September 9th, the commencement ceremony of undergraduates was ceremoniously held in lecture hall of postgraduates, all freshmen and faculties of the school attended. Mr Mo Jiping, the deputy party secretary and vice president hosted the meeting.

At the beginning, President Ren Naifei introduced the achievements of SME in aspects of teaching, scientific research and student affairs. Then he raised his hopes to students, that is: to aim highly and plan scientifically, to strengthen responsibility and brave the responsibilities, to lay the foundation and improve the capabilities. Later on, faculty and student council representatives made statements and received the applause.

This ceremony is the initial part of the entrance education, the follow ups will be lecture series.
