On September 8, 2016 in Jing Jiang college lecture hall school of mechanical engineering held the opening ceremony of undergraduate students grade 2016 . Leadership of the school of mechanical engineering such as Party chief of the Communist Party of School of Mechanical Engineering Zhou Jian zhong, dean Ren Nai fei etc., leadership of industrial center, secretaries of all party branches of the school, department chiefs, working committee for the care of the next generation and all the freshmen grade 2016 attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided by vice Party chief of the Communist Party of School of Mechanical Engineering Pan Hong jun.

In the ceremony, dean Ren Nai fei introduced the overview of school in recent years in the aspects such as teaching, scientific research, students work achievements, hoping all the freshmen in Jiangsu university grade 2016 to adhere to the motto of Jiangsu university :erudite, realistic, moral ,remember the responsibility of the era, have the courage to bear, struggle, write glorious life of brightness. Teachers' representative, director of the electromechanical department Cheng Guang gui held eager hopes to all the freshmen. Student representative, the provincial triple-A student Chen Li quan shared the harvest and experience of university life. Freshmen representative Ding Wen wen expressed appreciation to the care of school and determined to study hard and repay society. School leaderships' and student representatives' wonderful speeches got warm applause of freshmen. The opening ceremony is the start of the education of freshmen grade 2016. School of mechanical engineering will also hold a series of lectures to guide students to adapt to college life faster, university of science and plan their study career scientifically in order to successfully finish university learning.
