Wed, July 9th, 2014. A meeting of “Graduation project Discussion and Communication” is held by the Department of Mechatronic Engineering, concerning the graduation projects of graduates of mechatronic engineering this year. Series of cases are introduced and discussed aiming to help supervisors improve the quality of the graduation project and thesis.
Prof. Weiping Mao introduced the graduation thesis “Design of drilling and soil covering structure of drilling and fertilizing machine for fruit tree”, which was awarded the excellent graduated thesis in Jiangsu University in 2014. This project comes from enterprise practice and requires students to read report regarding the related references, put forward preliminary design scheme, and select a reasonable structure scheme, aiming to improve students’ innovative and creative abilities for their scientific researches. Dr. Aiming Xiao and Dr. Liqiang Zhang introduced their guidence experience and suggested to increase practice courses such as single-chip design to improve students’ hands-on ability.
At last, Prof. Ping Yang, Dean of Mechatronic Engineering Department, made a summing-up speech: “I hope all supervisors to pay more attention to the graduation porjects of graduates and help them improve their manipulative and creative abilities.”
