Presenter: Rong Zou
Time: 10:00-11:00 am, May 26
Venue: 7th floor lecture hall, School of Mechanical Engineering.
Introduction about Rong Zou: Zou Rong, Ph.D. graduated from the Key Laboratory of Precision Opto-Mechatronics Technology of the Ministry of Education,Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. As the main R&D personnel, he participated in a number of major projects, such as the Special-Funded Programme on National Key Scientific Instruments and Equipment Development. His research interests include vision-based 3D on-line measurement, vision-based fault detection and defect inspection. These research findings have been published in many of SCI journals and applicated for invention patents. In addition, he also won an Excellent Energy-saving Accomplishment Award from Shandong Province.
Main contents of presentation: Machine vision is a young, rapidly developing field. In recent years, vision-related scientific and technological achievements continue to show, some even beyond our imagination. By comparing with vision organs of humans, this presentation will introduce some basic mathematical principles of machine vision, machine vision systems and applications in the industrial field.
