In order to help overseas freshmen adapt into our faculty environment as soon as possible, an orientation meeting was held in School of Mechanical Engineering(SME) in Meeting Room JXB414 on September 23th. The meeting was hosted by the associate dean, Prof. Zhenying Xu. All the new overseas students of 2016 from Ghana,Pakistan,Zambia and Yemen took part in this meeting. Some International leaders, professors and overseas student representatives of SME attended the meeting.

Firstly, Prof. Xu introduced SME to the freshmen, including the organization, the programs, the research areas, facilities and laboratories, faculty, etc.Then, all the freshmen introduced themselves. After that, they communicated with representative the professors and student representatives.At last, the freshmen were guided by the teacher to visit the industrial center. They showed a strong interest in it.
