In order to further strengthen the laboratory and fire management work of the college, a meeting on laboratory and fire management was organized in Conference Room B414 on the afternoon of September 29. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Dean Ye Yunxia, and attended by Party Secretary Pan Hongjun, Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Manufacturing Cheng Guanggui, Discipline Inspection Commissioner Han Jihua, leaders of various laboratory modules, and relevant teachers.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ye Yunxia analyzed the challenges faced by the laboratories in the College of Mechanical Engineering, including the diversity of disciplines, a large number of equipment, complex management, and various issues. She pointed out the urgent need to streamline the characteristics of experimental equipment and accelerate the modularization and centralization of laboratory work. During the meeting, she detailed the college's approach to laboratory management from four aspects: the modular management plan for laboratories, mechanisms for closing laboratories, suggestions for laboratory management issues, and future work in the laboratory sector. She emphasized the importance of laboratory safety management and rectification work, and provided knowledge dissemination on the management and emergency response for hazardous chemicals such as hydrofluoric acid.
In his concluding remarks, Pan Hongjun made three demands on the attending teachers. First, he emphasized the need to further elevate their political stance and maintain a high level of awareness regarding safety work. Second, he urged them to adopt a problem-oriented approach, clarify the list of issues, and ensure effective work deployment while promptly conveying the spirit and requirements of the meeting. Third, he called for all members to fulfill their responsibilities, perform their respective duties, and personally inspect, implement, and rectify problems on-site to ensure that all management tasks and safety measures are consistently safeguarded and effectively addressed.
This meeting has further clarified the management approach of the college's laboratories, strengthened the organizational structure and management team for laboratory affairs, providing a strong safeguard for advancing laboratory construction and promoting the high-quality development of the college's endeavors.
