Research interests
1. Laser Machining/Materials Processing. Our research group has the LASERTEC 80 PowerDrill System, which can be used to carry out some research work in laser drilling and welding, etc. We currently focus on exploring and developing new integrated techniques for special high-quality laser drilling.

2. Nanofabrication and Nanometrology. We used focused ion beam (FIB) for nanofabrication of nanostructures/nanodevices, e.g., we cleaved, polished, and patterned the tapered optical fiber tips. The FIB-fabricated optical fiber tips could be patterned with around 100-200 nm nanoholes, where the diameters of 40°-cleaved tip was around 1 µm. Besides, we can also fabricate the highly-periodic functional nanostructure arrays, especially for some optical applications.
