Research Interests
1. Advanced Forming Technology of Sheet Metal. Hot forming of ultra-high strength steel plate, springback control of multi-step stamping, forming of tailor-welded blanks with curve welding seam, are the hot issue in recent years. The microstructure evolution, the constitutive model deduced from damage theory, the FLD grounded on M-K theory will be studied. The forming quality of complex autobody panels can be predicted and controlled. Finally the key parts of car lightweight are formed precisely.

2. Precise Forming & Micro Forming. High speed forming technology in mesoscale is very important in manufacturing micro parts and products. The high speed forming mechanism and method based on microstructure and friction effect should be researched by means of theoretical analysis, physical testing and numerical simulation. In the project, the special scale effect in mesoscale will be researched during ultrathin sheet metal forming.

3. Digital Manufacture of Mechanical and Electrical Product. CAD, CAE and CAM are integrated together to constitute the digital manufacture system of mechanical and electrical product. In the die digital manufacture system, the geometric model of the deck lid is the most basic core data of the product, and is the most primitive basis for the design, analysis and manufacture of the die. Through CAD, CAE and CAM, a large number of database stored and transmitted directly to the various aspects of the production process, so as to realize the integration of design and manufacture.
