On July 4, the School of Mechanical Engineering held the 2020 Summer Social Practice Mobilization Guidance Conference on the Tencent Conference Platform. Du Kang, the secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School, Hong Yajie, the graduate student counselor, and the main student cadres of the school attended the meeting.

First of all, Du Kang introduced the background significance and overall requirements of this year's summer social practice of college students. He emphasized the particularity and safety of this year's social practice. Afterwards, he introduced the classification of social practice to everyone in detail, and encouraged students to carry out relevant practical activities based on national conditions, social conditions, professional characteristics, and brand activities. Zhang Hao, chairman of the Youth Association of the College, explained the process and precautions of China Youth Net submission, and shared the manuscript writing experience of online activities.

At the end of the meeting, Du Kang hoped that all practical students strictly abide by the local epidemic prevention and control requirements, do their own safety protection, and put an end to paralyzing thoughts and fluke. He called on everyone to fully integrate the characteristics and advantages of online and offline practices, and truly temper their character, enhance their capabilities, and contribute to society in practical activities.
