Recently, the School of Mechanical Engineering held the "Combating the Epidemic and Patriotic Practice" sign language exercise contest through the Tencent conference line. The school's 2019 students participated in this event. The 2019 undergraduate counselor Chen Yushan and psychological counselor Chen Qiuyue served as judges.

The entries for this event are mainly in the form of videos. Participants are encouraged to combine themes, be creative and write lyrics for their own works. The content of the anti-epidemic videos participating in the competition is diverse and highly infectious. A set of sign language exercises conveys the watchful spirit of "all people are one heart and one boat is in the same boat"; the anti-epidemic pictures show the fearless attitude of "acting upon hearing orders and taking into account the overall situation" ; A section of students’ testimonials swears a sonorous voice of “full confidence and use for victory”. Finally, through online voting and judges scoring links, the ranking of works is completed.

After the event, the College Psychology Association shared the video of the competition, hoping that the students can realize that happiness is not easy, study hard, strengthen their physique, and be newcomers of the era who have the courage to shoulder the important task of national rejuvenation.
