On April 2nd, Wei-hu ZHOU, the researcher and tutor in Photoelectric Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited our school, and was employed as part-time professor of Department of Instrument Science and Technology in our school. The engage ceremony was held up in the third lecture hall of meeting center. It was presided by professor Bo-quan LI, the former vice-dean of School of Mechanical Engineering. Dean Nai-fei REN awarded job offers and wore crest for researcher Wei-hu ZHOU. After the ceremony, Researcher ZHOU made a report titled “The Research Progress of Femtosecond Laser Measurement Technology” for the teachers and students in our school, about the new research achievements of femtosecond laser tracking measurement system and progress of femtosecond laser frequency comb ranging technology. Nearly one hundred teachers and students majoring in Instrument Science and Technology, as well as Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering in School of Mechanical Engineering attended the ceremony.

After the report, researcher ZHOU also talked with some leaders and teachers of School of Mechanical Engineering. He introduced relevant circumstances about major special instrument projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology during the period of twelfth five-year. Besides, the two sides discussed on several aspects such as graduate joint training and the cooperation in science and technology.
